Artisans 3D Pedalboard 1.4 — Looper, Auto Wah, Recording and Photorealistic Pedals
Share
Release Notes — Version 1.4 — April 2026
What's New in 1.4
- Looper added to the effects chain — record, overdub and loop live
- Auto Wah added — envelope-controlled filter with sensitivity and resonance
- Record your processed output directly to M4A from the output pedal
- All pedals now render with photorealistic backgrounds
Version 1.4 adds the two most requested effects — Looper and Auto Wah — alongside a full recording workflow and a complete visual overhaul. Every pedal in the chain now has a distinct photorealistic background consistent with its character. The app looks and sounds like a professional rig.
Looper
The Looper lives in the effects chain like any other pedal. Drop it anywhere — before the amp for a dry loop, after the cab for a processed one. Record a phrase, overdub layers on top, and loop it live. Everything upstream of the looper runs through it in real time.
Auto Wah
An envelope-controlled bandpass filter that tracks your pick attack. The filter opens as you hit a note and closes as it decays. Sensitivity sets how aggressively it responds. Resonance controls the peak at the cutoff. Decay and Range shape how far the filter sweeps and how long it stays open.
Recording
Tap the record button in the chain editor to capture your processed output directly to M4A. Recordings save automatically and are accessible from the Recordings tab on the home screen. Each file carries metadata — chain name, date, duration — so your recordings stay organized without any manual work.
Photorealistic Pedal Visuals
Every pedal now has its own visual identity. Overdrive looks like overdrive. The fuzz has grit. The reverb looks like space. The amps look like amps. Nothing about the signal chain or controls changed — only the visuals. But this is the version the app always should have looked like.

Full Effects Chain
| Effect | Description |
|---|---|
| Overdrive | Analog-style tube saturation. Cleans up with guitar volume. |
| Fuzz | High-gain asymmetric clipping. Thick and sustaining. |
| Compressor | Envelope-based dynamic control with automatic makeup gain. |
| Noise Gate | RMS envelope gate. Kills noise between notes cleanly. |
| Delay | Echo with Time, Feedback, Tone and Mix. Tape-style time changes. |
| Reverb | Algorithmic stereo reverb with decorrelated tails and real spatial depth. |
| Chorus | Band-split stereo modulation. LFO offset 90° between channels. |
| Tremolo | Amplitude modulation from gentle pulse to hard chop. |
| Phaser | 4-stage all-pass with resonance. Classic sweep character. |
| Flanger | BBD-style delay sweep with feedback. Jet-plane character. |
| Rotary Speaker | Horn and drum band-split modulation. Strong stereo rotation. |
| Pitch Shifter | Low-latency real-time pitch shifting up to two octaves. |
| 6-Band EQ | Parametric tone shaping across the full frequency range. |
| Looper | Record, overdub and loop live. Place anywhere in the chain. |
| Auto Wah | Envelope-controlled filter. Tracks pick attack in real time. |
Amp Simulation
| Amp | Character |
|---|---|
| Clean | Warm, high-headroom. Won't break up. |
| Crunch | Aggressive midrange. Harmonic density builds with pick attack. |
| Spring | Clean amp with spring reverb tank. Presence controls depth. |
| Brit | Open, bright, no-feedback voicing. Hard, fast clip response. |
Cabinet Simulation
Seven impulse responses, convolution-processed on-device using hardware acceleration. Swap cabinets in real time while the chain is running. Each has a Mix control.
